Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB)
KMB registered and licensed seven and three Volvo Super Olympian 12m, Wright Explorer bodied, (AVW) in May and June respectively.
KMB registered and licensed two Dennis Trident 12m, Enviro 500 bodied (ATE), each in May and June.
New Lantao Bus (NLB)
NLB acquired five Isuzu LV423R, Asia bodied, from Kwoon Chung Motors (KCM) in May.
NLB acquired three Mitsubishi BE4649J from KCM in May.
Discovery Bay Transport
Discovery Bay Transport acquired one MAN NL262 from Citybus in July.

KCRC delicensed two, one and one MCW Metrobus Mk II in April, May and July respectively.
Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB)
KMB delicensed six Mitsubishi MK117J in May; eight, six and one Leyland Olympian 11m in April, May and July respectively; four and one MCW Metrobus 11m in May and June respectively.
Citybus sold three Leyland Olympian 12m (acquired from China Light and Power) to England in July; one (converted from 11m) to England in July.
New Lantao Bus (NLB)
NLB delicensed four, two and two Isuzu MT112L in May, June and July respectively. As at July 2005, there are five Isuzu MT112L in service. NLB delicensed three Mitsubishi BE439J in May.
Discovery Bay Transport
Discovery Bay Teansport has delicensed one MAN NL262 owning to serious traffic accident.
Discovery Bay Transport returned one Dennis Dart to Citybus for expiry of hiring agreement.

P.4-5 Route Information Updates
P.5 Owning to demolition work at Huanggang in Shenzhen on May 22 at 1pm and in view of the safety concerns for cross-boundary travellers, traffic via Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang suspended from 12.35pm for at least 35 minutes. The Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross-boundary shuttle-bus service stopped operating. A special KMB bus (No 73S) to run from the San Tin Public Transport Interchange to the KCR Sheung Shui Station to serve cross-boundary passengers who wish to travel by rail via the Lo Wu Control Point.

The Eastern Harbour Tunnel started toll increase on 1 May 2005. It was anticipated that a considerable amount of traffic would shift to the already heavily patronized Cross Harbour Tunnel.

P.6 The ˇ§Star Ferryˇ¨ strongly opposed the Transport Departmentˇ¦s plan to relocate the ˇ§Starˇ¨ Ferry Terminus and convert terminus as a plaza.
P.9 The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will start operate on 12 September 2005. The Government has finalised traffic and transport arrangements in phases. The first phase would be the commencement of service of MTR Disneyland Resort line and some roads to the Penny Bay. The second phase would be opening of all public roads at the region, commencement of service of seven franchised bus routes and public transport facilities. The final stage would be the grand opening of the resort.

P.14-15 New Comers of Rehabus
Ten new liquefied petroleum gas powered Toyota Coaster BZB50R-ZCMSC minibuses have recently jointed the fleet of the Hong Kong Society of Rehabilitation, who has been providing transport service to the mobility-impaired group since 1978. This fleet is much praised for their quietness and environmental-friendliness.

The Airport Shuttle Services Ltd under the holding company Parklane Limousine Service Ltd, was acquired by Kwoon Chung Motor Co Ltd on 1 July 2005. The 40 Iveco CC95 would be replaced by Isuzu LT134 soon.

One Citybus Volvo Olympian (#566) and one New World First Bus (NWFB) Dennis Trident (#1092) have been painted as ˇ§Green Busˇ¨ so as to promote environment protection.

P.22-25 NLB and Isuzu MT112L
Much praised for its reliability and durability, Isuzu MT112Ls, equipped with 6494cc Isuzu engine, MBG5B gearbox and Jit Luen body, have taken a major role in NLB fleet since 1987. However, as they are approaching the life expectancy, all of them will retire from service by March 2006. By then, NLB will be fully air-conditioned and rear engine mounted.

A new prototype body from Comfort-Delgro Engineering Services Ltd, a sibling company of SBS Transit, has recently retrofit on a Volvo Super Olympian B10TL, as trial for possible subsequent 150 new Volvo B9TL.

KMB and NWFB operated a special route 104R from Central Pier to Mongkok, to cope with a mid-night carnival at Cheung Chau on 16 May 2005.

P.32-33 China Buses: The Shenzhen Bus Group Company Limited
The Shenzhen Bus Group Company Limited (SGBC) was established on 19 Jan 2005, has a total of five shareholders: KMB (Shenzhen) Transport Investment Limited (wholly-owned subsidiary of KMBH), Shenzhen Investment Holding Corporation and three other strategic investors. KMB has invested around RMB 390 million to subscribe a 35% stake in the new company. Being a franchise grantee, SBGC will operate the public bus business in Shenzhen. Besides capital contribution, KMB will also be involved in the management of SBGC.
